.....and into Jessica's it goes. I taped the shit out of it with Priority Mail tape, so you can probably tell already that I used the original envelope. Not sure it'll go another round though. Although I didn't get to do too much with this, I still enjoyed making my mark on the canvas. Like Mary, I too was concerned about using too much space. I hope I didn't sell myself short on that. I also like the little sketchbook that came with it for notes and such. I could fill that thing up with my world of randomness, but I really didn't want to bore anyone to tears. On that note, I'm going back to work. Ciao!

It looks great! Mary, sweet start on the project. I like that you're into text as much as I am....this will help. I can understand how easy it is to let yourself get carried away in the process. This is going to be a challenge, trying to keep my brush from going all over the canvas. I think I may try some sketches of tight images...very different from my abstract, loose brush strokes. Being meticulous may help me with artistic weaknesses. I'll also see if I can post a photo of the painting as is, before I start working on it. Then, I'll photograph it again before I send it off to artist #3. I'm not touching the words written around the edges. Although there's a chance someone will add to the poetry, I like it the way it is. I may not work on it tonight because I gave a 2 hour printmaking demonstration to 40 middle school kids. I'm exhausted. I may play around with pencil and paper though, just to get my brain going. Later
