L. K.'s Bio
Many years ago I started college as an art major but was constantly being pushed towards commercial art so I changed majors. I always regretted that and wished I had pursued fine art in college. Last year I decided I would go for it and started working on my own art projects. I kept getting stuck on how to execute them the way I wanted to (I was mostly stuck on the 3D ones). I decided to try to go back to college and study art. I thought about the Corcoran, but due to cost went with GMU. I'm still working full time, but I take one or two classes a semester and I'm really enjoying it. However, I have a hard time getting started on my own pieces... it's like I freeze up ---part of it is organization, clutter, but that's not all... not sure what exactly. Once I start doing the art I really get into it...- it's just that gettting started. And, I often sit down and watch TV to relax instead... but I'm doing some stuff and have TONS of ideas I'm excited to do. I just need to figure out how to organize my life, my time, my mind, something, so that I'm able to do art regularly... I’m really looking forward to the PenPal Canvas project. This is such a great idea. I can’t wait to see what I get in the mail! And I'm hoping we get to see the final version.
